Dear WinTrans 2.0 user

We are currently working on WinTrans 3.0 as the successor to WinTrans 2.0.

This uses a frontend based on JavaScript and HTML5. Silverlight will therefore no longer be required.

We plan to release a first test version of WinTrans 3.0 in the first quarter of 2022, but it will not yet offer the full range of functions.

WinTrans 3.0 will initially be operated in parallel with WinTrans 2.0 during a transition phase.

WinTrans 2.0 does not necessarily require Internet Explorer, even now.

There are now ways to run Silverlight applications even without Internet Explorer.

The first option is to run WinTrans 2.0 in Google Chrome.

This only requires the "IE TAB" plug-in for Chrome.
